Social 6's Sunshine Success

A sunny Saturday sees a splendid Social 6s

Saturday 20th July 2024

Another year, another social 6s and another fun day for CHC gang! A massive thanks must go to Karena who did an amazing job at organsing another fun and successful club event for CHC.

Not only did she organise a top event, but she even managed to sort the weather for us. Saturday was hot, but not too much for the players. The teams were allocated colours and picked costumes/kit based on their colours - from Flintstones (orange), to Global GymGoers (Purple), Ladybirds (Red), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (green) and the Blues (blue team obviously).

In amongst the matches, there were some eventful mini-challenges which had us all in stitches. From Kieran's impression of The Mummy, to Ruth's half-twitch, half-gurn attempt at eating an Oreo off her forehead, there was plenty of laughs and giggles.

Some of the players just couldn't shake their competitive streaks though (you know who you are!) and gave the umpires some stick but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits.

The Purples came out as eventual winners - Go Global Gym! But we have to say that each team had their hockey moments and most of all, everyone looked like they enjoyed themselves too!

The Oranges or Flintstones, won the best dressed team. Not only for the costumes, which were pretty good, but aboveall for Gary's version of the Bedrock car, plus bringing along his very own Wilma!

Robbie & Perry had tied in the duck of the day competition with 2 a piece. For a tiebreaker the club took the public vote from Instagram. Robbie managed to take the trophy with 77% of the public - well done Robbie QUACK QUACK!!!

The socialising continued on to Cuthorpe Cricket Club with Perry serving brontosauraus steaks (well technically just sausages and burgers but keeping in Flintstones theme). Deej entertained the crowds with his bowling - we witnessed him skittling the wickets of one poor batsman before rain stopped play.

A top day of entertainment for the CHC family!

Thank you to all who attended, helped out and joined in!
