Fun short course for 5-8 year olds returns to St Mary's

England Hockey's "Hockey Heroes" short course is returning to Chesterfield Hockey Club after the Easter break.

This 8 week course is designed for 5-8 year olds, and will run for 8 weeks from 6.15pm to 7.15pm, on Wednesday evenings, starting on Wednesday 17th April at St Marys High School, Chesterfield.

Each session is 1 hour long, and will develop some fundamental movement skills, hockey skills and some interpersonal skills too! Above all it's aimed to be FUN for the kids!

Talking about the Hockey Heroes course, Paul Speed, CHC's junior hockey coordinator had this to say "The Hockey Heroes programme is a brilliant initiative for us as a local club. We provide a fun environment for kids to have a go at the sport, and if they like it, they can progress into our u10 boys and girls teams. I would encourage any participants to spread the word and see if they have any friends or siblings who would like a go at hockey. The more the merrier."

The idea of Hockey Heroes is to introduce kids to hockey, without making it ALL about hockey - we want to make it fun and so the kids come back every week!

When you book your first course, you’ll get a Hockey Heroes equipment pack delivered to your door to keep! This will contain two plastic hockey sticks, a ball, a personalised t-shirt and stickers to customise the sticks. Make sure and book now so the equipment arrives before the course starts!

Places are limited, so don't delay - booking can be done here
