Get ready for the latest episode of CHC

Get ready for the new season - hockey is back in Chesterfield!

If you didn't already know, then the start of the league hockey season is fast approaching and with that we've got all sorts of things happening at CHC that you need to know about.

Training

  • Monday's -
  • 7.30-9.00pm (already started)Men's 2s training with Christian Battye (this is open drop-in for any 1s players too)
  • Tuesday's
  • 6.30-8.00pm (already started)Women's 1s, 2s and 3s all training at the same time and place.
  • Wednesday's
  • Junior Hockey runs 2 sessions from 6-7 and also 7-8pmU6-U12s are 6-7pm, and development plus U12s at 7-8pm.Men's Club training will run 8-9.30pmThis is open to all members (aged 13+) but aimed at 3rd and 4th team players.This year the training is being run and coordinated by Sam Barrett.
  • Thursday's
  • Men's 1s only training session with Christian Battye

Saturday 29th August - Media Day + Friendlies
As part of the plan for our upcoming season, we are looking to build our bank of content ready for use across our club website and social media channels.

On this day, each club member will be asked to sit for a couple of "headshots", be part of an initial pre-season team photo and then play a friendly as you normally would. Other willing members can be shown how to record mini-post match interviews providing the CHC social media team with consistent content focusing on your team and season.

11.30am - Women's 2/3 v Sheffield University Bankers
1.00pm - Women's 1s v Shefield University Bankers
2.30pm - Men's 2s/3s/4s game

Annual Subs due 31st August
You've all been given details of this years annual subscriptions and when it's due so get on and get it paid ASAP! (the document is reattached to this article).
This applies only to senior hockey sides and not junior hockey.

CHC social event

This is a club wide social event, a family feel for everyone across the club - juniors, adults, players, parents, umpires coaches and all the family!

This will include a bar, Gow's Kitchen on food duties, Cake stall, Raffle, Garden games, Music.

Season starts - 12th September
The first official weekend of the new season is Saturday 12th September. Please please please get your availabilty confirmed on pitchero so captains can get sides selected. It really helps when players confirm early if avvailable or not, and saves captains having to chase! Any questions just ask your captain!

New Kit?
Last but not least - now's the time to check your kit, and maybe get in an order for fresh "stash"?

Playing shirts, training tops, hoodies, shorts and much more available from our kit supplier STASH. Go to their website here ask your captain for the password if you have forgotten or misplaced it! For new players you will need to liaise with Katie Mycroft on shirt numbers (these are allocated).
