Winter was not coming as the sun was shining for the 3's away game against Chapeltown 2's putting everyone in good spirits.
From the off Chesterfield were on the attack and Chapeltown were feeling the fear cut deeper than swords as Chesterfield pressed on, a pass out wide to Stuttard resulted in Chesterfield taking an early lead, Chesterfield gained possession of the ball and a great drive from Will-Winter Smith towards the goal resulted in another goal. A tough defensive line (Spyra, McCormick, Hallam & Johnson) didn't give Chapeltown any attempts at a goal. A penalty corner resulted in a penalty stroke after hitting two sets of feet on the line, Anderson gave the keeper 'the eyes' and slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Chesterfield didn't back down in any way shape or form, a drive to the D from Callum Taylor then a slip to the post resulted in a tip in from Stuttard. The 4th goal of the game, seemed to spur on Chapeltown a little bit and resulted in Chapeltown scoring there first of the game early in the second half.
A couple of green cards were given out to our skipper, Paul Ryan, the first for playing the wrong sport. Chapeltown received a green which was almost followed up by a yellow, the umpire had the yellow in hand waiting for another word from the Chapeltown player.
Rob Anderson picked up an injury in the first half, which didn't end his watch as he came back on the pitch in the second half and whilst
hobbling, smashed another goal into the net.
A couple of debatable short corners were awarded to Chapeltown which result in another goal for them which saw the game end at a 5-2 Win, another team feld to the mighty 3's who remain undefeated.
The 3's are keen to keep up their performance going into next weekend to hold the top position on the table as the watch continues!
