Chesterfield 4 v Huddersfield Dragons 4
St Mary's School, Chesterfield
Chesterfield's 4th team won their final game of the season, after seeing off an experienced Huddersfield Dragons. Chesterfield had the result largely secured thanks to three first half goals, but were made to work in the midday sun for the win.
The game had an "end of season" feel about it. The sun was out, the mood was relaxed, the teams in friendly spirits and there was no promotion or relegation to worry about. Femi Colton scored a hatrick and Clayton Morton also bagged a goal for Chesterfield as they crusied to victory. Huddersfield had their moments but couldn't find their way through the Chesterfield defence, ably marshalled by John Nash, who snuffed out any attacks as Huddersfield threatened.

Huddersfield's goalkeeper made a number of superb saves that kept the score down. But Chesterfield will still be rueing some missed opportunities as they had a number of "one-on-one's" with only the goalkeeper to beat.
The final whistle went and Chesterfield cheered. This season has been a complete contrast to last season, in terms of results and competition. The team, under John Cusack's captaincy, have well and truly forgotten the lows of last season's drubbings and will be hoping for more games like this one next season.
