Chesterfield U14 girls travelled to Mansfield on Sunday to play in this NoDe fixture (Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire).

These were the first games played by this new look team - with 5 new players starting for the U14s and larger squad still to join the matches, the girls have plenty to look forward to this season.

The girls had the toughest draw as had to play 3 matches back to back - North Notts, Mansfield and Chesterfield boys.
Theire best game was against North Notts where they won by the odd goal.
Against Mansfield they lost, but played well. Mansfield were a bigger and stronger side overall (mostly Yr 9 judging by the height).
Lastly against the boys they put up a fight but lost out in the end. By the last match the girls were shattered (I could tell) and this was made worse by playing with no subs in the last game.

All things considered it was a positive start for the girls and good to be back playing.
