Under 14s Girls, Doncaster v Chesterfield

The girls played their final game of the season away against a good Doncaster side. It a was a very entertaining game with chances for both sides, Chesterfield played well in the first half but saw them selves 2 down at half time. With a bare 11, fitness could have been an issue in the second half however the girls actually got stronger as the game went on, created plenty of chances and were very unlucky not to get a goal or two. Defensively they were more organised and stronger and we were unlucky to concede a third goal. In the second half. Whilst they lost there was so much to be positive about, not only the performance today but as a whole over the season.

Coach Heather said ‘the girls have a great team spirit and are very supportive of each other. Moving up a league has been challenging but the girls have raised their games which will stand them in good stead for next season. They’ve been a pleasure to work with this year and I would like to say a massive thanks to the parents for transporting and supporting’
