After Saturday’s friendly was cancelled, we were ready to get some minutes in the legs — and we certainly made the most of it!

All that pre-season work on fitness, agility, communication & teamwork is starting to show, with some brilliant passages of hockey and a real sense of togetherness on the pitch.
Matlock started strongly and put us under pressure early, but we settled, found our rhythm and started moving the ball beautifully. Our defence stayed patient, midfield worked tirelessly, and our wingers never stopped running!

⚡ 50’ — ELLA doubles the lead from a penalty corner!
⚡ 60’ — CHLOE W makes it three!

Huge effort from everyone, including the players coming off the bench and giving us fresh legs.

Charlie & Katie both had fantastic games in goal, keeping us organised and communicating brilliantly from the back.
And a special mention to Karena, who came so close to ending that goal-scoring drought… next time!
Despite a few knocks along the way, the team kept battling, adapting and working for each other right until the final whistle.
Captain Nu summed it up perfectly: “Problem solving in full swing, with a lot of patience, we've shown how well we can adapt. Onto the next one!!!”

3–0. Clean sheet. Great teamwork. Plenty of positives.
