On a lovely crisp winters morning CHC L2s started strongly against a well organised SUBHC team and were a goal up within the first two minutes thanks to a neat finish from Jasmine.
Chesterfield kept up the pressure and continued to create chances. The midfield worked hard and the forwards put on an effective press, which resulted in several attempts on goal and eventually CHC got their rewards when Elise picked up the ball up after Sheffield lost possession and drove into to the D to calmly slot home to make it 2-0
CHC used their right hand side well with crosses from Abi and strong runs from Sarah which lead to a number of short corners which Sheffield defended well.
Another great ball fired in to the D, was cleverly deflected by Jasmine to make it 3-0.
A dominant Chesterfield continued to press but we were unable to convert a number of short corners however Elise eventually got her second of the game to make it 4-0 at half-time.
Chesterfield started the 2nd half strongly and got an early short corner which was by slipped by Emma to Elise for the shot to be saved on the line & cleared.
The next break saw Esme receive the ball outside the D, a straight run and composed finish made the score 5-0.
A direct ball fired in by Emma, saw a goal mouth scramble and Elise slotted for another goal 6-0.
Sheffield had a rare break mid way through the half but a good sliding save from chesterfield goalie Loz quickly shut down the attacking chance.
Elise scored her fourth goal making it 7-0. Chesterfield kept up the pressure, chances were plentiful. Sarah swept in a slipped corner and jasmine completed her hat-trick to make 9 -0.
POM awarded to Sam.
