After a long day, to make it longer with having a 7pm game against 3s. The weather not being on our side and a chilly night ahead. With a coin toss won the 2s had the possession. The 3s came on strong and gave us all a really good competitive game. After 15 mins we were awarded 2 short corners with Esme and Jas doing some great runs and passing. There was a near miss from Kara, but still no goal and the 3s continued to apply pressure. We held our heads high and both teams gave it their all.

Captain Emma gave us a positive team talk at half time. The midfielders were pivotal in both attack and defence, working tirelessly to support the forwards while also tracking back to break up 3s offensive plays. Their ability to transition seamlessly between the two halves kept 3s at bay and ensured 2s remained in control of the match. Anna did some great dribbles to pass to the midfield.

Chesterfield continued fighting for a goal with Jen and Elise dripping it in and managing to get another short for the 2s. Abi L asked Emma where she wanted it and Abi L gave the 2s the lead with 1-0 at the 51st minute. Abi G did some excellent, strong hits to get through to the D.

3s kept us on our toes during the whole game but we held strong to just seal the win.
