As this was the first game as Holly being captain we all gathered in the changing room to go through the new structure.

First half chesterfield was the dominant side with Nic being down the ball on the right side to give to Jodie to have some shots on target. After 20 mins Abi G had a battle with the defenders but slots it ok the back post with Jodie sliding down to make sure it went in! Loz made some incredible saves with both Anna and Sam making some great passes Alex and Kara, who brought it down for the forwards.

The half time speak was positive. Having the aim to keep our heads in the game, continue making sure we keep them on there left hand side.

The second half was hard for chesterfield after an immediate goal just a few mins after whistle blue. Unfortunately chesterfield did lose their structure a bit and Barnsley scored an amazing goal. Kelly has some possession to keep the ball and not let Barnsley have it. Esme weaved round Barnsley defensive and brought the ball up creating a continuous movement with the ball.

By the end we finished 4-1 to Barnsley.

POM was awarded to Holly for some formidable defending.
