11. Women's 1s Head Coach


CHC is looking to appoint a coach for our Women’s 1s for the 2022/23 season and beyond. The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards an appropriate England Hockey qualification, be First Aid trained and prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This is a part-time, paid role with remuneration to be discussed based on experience.

The candidate will be joining a new era of our Women’s sides and will be responsible for a number of key years for our women’s section. For this reason, the candidate will need to be able to work as lead coach and to deliver an integrated development programme with an excellent attention to detail with high standards for self; team; players; and coaches and possess high standards of organisational and communication skills.

The roles responsibilities will include:

  • Develop our club culture, in line with our club ethos, into the Women’s 1s, Youth Girls and Junior Girls to set high standards and aspirations throughout the club to play for our Women’s First Team
  • Work closely with other coaches, selection committees and captains during the season
  • Working closely with young leaders, players and managers to ensure that players across all abilities experience a safe, fun and positive environment in which they can further develop their hockey.
  • Planning, delivering and reviewing weekly training sessions for the Women’s 1s
  • Taking responsibility for pre-match, match and post-match activities for agreed age groups.
  • Attending coach development opportunities deemed relevant to the role.
  • Delivering a hockey programme in accordance with CHC and England Hockey policies and procedures.
