2. Bid writing - grant applications

Navigating the world of sports grants can be a bit of a headache. Especially as they tend to change all the time in terms of available funds, deadlines, criteria and application processes.

Grants are important in that they support clubs with the cost of equipment, kit and facilities, pitch work, maintenance and much more besides.

The club committee has applied and received grants in the past and is looking to do so again and going forward. However there is some hard work that is done in finding a grant, applying and tracking it . And so we're asking for help from a willing club member (from outside the committee) to take on this challenge.

If you have expertise and experience already with grant applications, tender responses, and/or bid writing and would be willing to help we'd love to hear from you. Failing that if you would like to help with this role we'd also like to hear from you.

For more information or a quick chat about what would be involved, please get in touch with Rob or Anne via email (chair@chesterfieldhockeyclub.com) in the first instance.

You will need to liaise with the committee , confirm deadlines for applications, coordinate responses with relevant internal stakeholders.
You will need to be organised, have good level of written English, and be able to produce documents in response to formal grants.
Any experience of bid writing, tender responses or grant application is ideal but a willingness to learn and take the role on is more important.
