CHC is looking to appoint a physio for our Men’s and Women’s first teams for the 2022/23 season and potentially beyond. The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards an appropriate physiotherapy qualification, be First Aid trained and prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This is a part time, paid role with remuneration to be discussed based on experience.
The candidate will be joining an exciting era of our club and be expected to deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation advice and practices as part of an integrated development programme for our first team sides with an excellent attention to detail with high standards for self; team; players; and coaches and possess high standards of organisational and communication skills.
- Help to develop our club culture, in line with our club ethos, into the Mens & Women’s First Teams, setting high standards and aspirations throughout the club to play for our First Teams
- Work closely with other coaches, selection committees and captains during the season
- Working closely with young leaders, players and managers to ensure that players across all abilities experience a safe, fun and positive environment in which they can further develop their hockey.
- Planning, delivering and reviewing weekly rehab and physio sessions for First Team players. This is likely to administered at training nights, rather than Saturday match days (however, if the a candidate has availability and commitment to match days for either team, further remuneration can be discussed accordingly)
- Designing and preparing S&C programmes for pre-match, match load and post-match activities for agreed players.
- Attending coach development opportunities deemed relevant to the role (if interested).
- Being part of a development focused coaching team, delivering a hockey programme in accordance with CHC and England Hockey policies and procedures
